• DVR (Digital Video Recorder): The DVR is a electronic device with the important mission of record and process all information sended of Cameras, a DVR is the heart of a CCTV System


• Hard Disk Device (HDD): It's a electronic-mechanical device used for "Storage" in a CCTV System, a HDD mainly is found over a 500MB, is the most important Device in Storage


• Analog or IP Camera: a Camera is a device used for Record in Real Time, the image is sending at DVR and Storage in Hard Disk (HDD)


• Balun Connector: the Baluns are the deviced used for connect the Signal between Camera and DVR, it's used in both sides, is important a right connection + and -


• 12V Male Connectors: There are the Connectors used for Connect the 12V in the Cameras


• Twisted Pair 8-Pin: The most used Cable to wire the Cameras, this is because we use his 8 Pins (4x2) to Power in 12V and Connect the Signal

• Plugs Power Supply 220V (RED): We must to consider all the Plugs used to power all our devices as UPS, TV, Router, DVR, etc


• Switching Power Supply 220V/12Vcc: This is the Power Supply used to transform Network Voltaje 220V in a Low Voltaje 12V to energy the Cameras (using Connectors 12V), we recommend you consider 1A for Camera, we consider around 10-12W for a normal/medium technology Camera


• UPS (optional): Thes UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is a electrical device used to supply energy when the electrical system is out (internal or external), in a CCTV system may be "SO important" because in case of thiefs or other bad moments, sometimes the electrical system is out, in that critical moment the UPS will power energy to all devices, thanks to this we may obtain the most critical information

• Router with Internet Connection: A Router is a Networking and Electronic Device that in this case is the Door to Access to Internet to our CCTV SYSTEM, in a simple project, many houses and companies have Internet, so we can connect easy our CCTV to Router via Patch Cord Cable (Ethernet)


• Patch Cord: These is the twisted-pair cable with two connector RJ45 in both sides, it connect the DVR and Router, if patch cord is wrong connected, you can't be able to monitor Cameras from Internet

• Monitoring by TV: There are the most common ways to monitor in a Control Room, we don't need a network configuration, when we have Cameras connected and TV connected in DVR by HDMI Cable we already have our CCTV working , is very important for the first configuration have a TV with HDMI


• HDMI Cable: This is the Video Signal Cable used to see in real time the DVR


• PC Software: We can monitor our system by a Computer with Internet, In Operating Systems as Windows or Mac it uses Softwares that you can easily download from the Company


• Web Application (APP): This is the most common way to Monitor and Watch Records, with Internet Access you can esaily get the APP in Play Store, every company have is own Software, these are easy to use

• Mainly you choose a DVR by the Numbers o Cameras that you project need, most DVR uses 4-8-16-32-64 Channels, all depends by Brand Company
• ALL the Configurations must to be in DVR, Configuration of Password, Configuring Hard Disk Drive HDD, Connections to Internet, etc
• You must to consider a HDMI Cable and a TV for your first configuration
• By Default DVR not have a Hard Disk Device installed (HDD), always you can find in the price of DVR is not considered the HDD
• If you want to keep always connected your CCTV to Internet the "Patch Cord" must be always connected between DVR and Router

• Cameras may be IP or Analog, The most common and Low price are Analog cameras
• For each Connections of Cameras you must to consider 2 Balun Connectors (Cameras and DVR) and 1 Male Plug 12V, sometimes you can find the balun as "Pair of Baluns"
• The Power Supply is in 12V wiring by Twisted Pair 8P, of that 8P you use 4 Doubles (example green and green-white) you must to link both sides of the cables and make just 1, it you must to do for 12V and Communication (in Baluns), it helps to prevent a Voltage Drop
• Always you must to get a Electrical Box size 75x75 it's to connect your 12V and Signal inside a box
• Almost need to consider 1A per Camera, in more advanced Cameras Power consumption is around 14-18W

Very Important:

1. You must always consider right connections of Pole (+) and (-) in 12V and Signal Connections (balun)
2. Almost Cameras use same wire (12V + Signal)
3. For each Camera you must to consider a Twisted Pair Cable, 4 Cameras = 4 Twisted Pair each one
4. Remember link both sides of twisted Pair Cable, example: green and green-white, it means get more section in the wire, less Voltage Drop
5. If UPS Fails, for a better solution you could have a Selector Switch 1-0-2 or you can plug you "Power Strip" directly in the Power Supply
6. In this case we are using Low Power, so our output of UPS may be a "Power Strip" of course it must to be a know and certificate brand

Take note in next observations:

1. We will Work and Configure a DVR DAHUA very reliable

3. The images with a red square means have "start errors", remember this is First Time we are configuring a DVR, we assume DVR is new
4. If you hear a sound like an Alert Intermittent Sound from the DVR, it means that is not recognized the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
5. Errors you can see are: Not Founded Camera ("Video Losses") and NO HHD means Hard Disk HDD is not installed or is not recognized
6. A CCTV System that not have a HDD installed, Can't Record
7. If we have the 4 Cameras good installed and HDD installed, we don't show tha messages

1. Download free APP GMDSS Lite, open Application
2. In Home Screen we open options and go to "Dispositivo Lista" and select the sign "+" in a up side
3. Choose Wire Devices
4. P2P

Now to start to configure we must to have access to the DVR, We need our Cellphone with APP downloades and DVR in the configuration P2P in the TV screen, Have access to Internet and Connected of course is needed

• Access to our Web APP GDMSS Lite
• In this step our CCTV system must to be working via P2P and Monitoring from APP
• Do click in Menu, and Select Reproducción
• Select Lista Dispositivos
• Because we are now starting in CCTV, will foces in the most simple way to review video recorders
• You must to configure the Start Time and the Final Time, very important
• Other options will keep by default
• You can select many cameras to review, between less are the selected, fastest you can review other cameras

3. Why I can't see all my Cameras working if all are connected?
   When we think that our all cameras are connected like Step 3 Here and just can see 60% of cameras is because:
   
   - You connected wrong the Poles (+) y (-) in Power Supply of 12V
   - You connected wrong the Poles (+) y (-) of Signal (balun)
   - The Switching power supply is not giving us 12-13V; This Switching Power Supply use a s Jumper for regulate the Output Voltage; That's the reason because with a instrument you must to measure the Voltage Output, sometimes your voltage must to be higher, around 13-14V
   - The voltage in Cameras is not 12V, verify it with a instrument measuring in the screw of male connectors 12V (+ y -)


4. Why is there a sound from DVR when I start it for first time?
   That sound means your DVR CANT FIND Hard Disk Drive HDD, to turn off the sound go to Step 4 Here, Go to Main Menu -> Event -> Abnormality -> Unable "Enable" -> Apply and Save


5. How Calculate the time of Video Recorder by HDD features?
   You can see here in a Calculate in External Link is very important know that when the HDD is full, after is all erased and start from 0, that's the reason for use a USB (USB Pendrive or External HDD) for extract the video recorder


6. Why Can't watch my cameras by Internet if it was working fine?
   If the system is working normally and sometimes you can't see anything, is because the RJ45 Cable (Patch Cord) between DVR and Router is disconected; or External problems with Internet, if you can't see camera by Internet, is because you don't have access to Internet


7. Why Cameras are loosing signal and sometimes the signal is out?
   The most common fails in a CCTV System are:
   
   - Voltage Drop in Line, that's the reason to link the Twisted Pair (UTP) en both sides for make strongest the line
   - Camera installed in same mass that electricity, it means the camera is mounted in same place that is mounted a electrical device as a Lighting, is better insulte the camera
   - Switching Power Supply (220/12V) has not enough Capacity of Output Current (A) to supply all Cameras, remember in the night Camera use Infrared and his power consumption is higher
   - Twisted Pair Cables are in the same Conduit for where go power and electrical wire, CCTV wire must to go in his own Conduit
   - Camera has reach his utility life (at least over 1 year) we must to remember the cameras in a wild enviroment and outdoor are most damaged than cameras in good conditions
