Why CCTV Cameras Fail and have Errors?
ANSWER
A CCTV SYSTEM is a electronic systen connected by some Cameras mainly in a DVR or NVR, Fails are often by wrong technical detaild to consider in CCTV System, most common are:
Most common Errors in CCTV System:
- Cameras work but sometimes the signal is bad
- Cameras go out and Can't see anything from DVR and Internet
- In a normal day sometimes lost signal and others continue working
- Can't See camera via Internet
Possible Solutions:
- The correct wire must to consider 1 UTP Twisted Pair (8-pin) for each one Camera; 2 Pin (+) 12V; 2 Pin (-) 12V; 2 by (+) Signal and 2 by (-) Signals; this make strongest the line for future Voltage Drop
- Verify Output Voltage in Power Supply Switching 220/12VDC, sometimes is better regulate Voltage 13-14 volts by "jumper" that comes in Power Switching, The Cameras in long distances may have Voltage drops and sometimes Voltage is less than 12V in the point where is installed the Camera
- Cameras are mounted in a Steel enviroment where too there are installed lightings, always is better install the Camera in places where there aren't electromagnetic inductions, for avoid problems is better insulate cameras
- Wires of cameras are installed in same Conduit where is electrical circuits, Cameras must to be in low voltages conduits, Cameras must to avoid all type of electromagnetic inductions
- Verify if the Connecters in cameras have 12 Volts, you can measure in screws
- If you have 12 Volts in connectors, verify if the Signal is right connected, verify (+) (-) and review Video Balun Connectors
- Twisted Pair UTP Cables are so sensitive, be careful at moment while you work in DVR or Cameras
- If you can't see via internet (APP or Software PC) you must to verify if LAN Cable Ethernet RJ45 is right connected betweenn DVR and Router, supplied by Internet Compaany; sometimes verify P2P in APP and DVR
