STEP 1 : NECESSARY ELEMENTS

First we must to have all components and PLC in LADDER

The Programmable Relay PLC Logo! need a Software to make the Program that control all our process, so we need these elemments:

Notebook or Portable Computer with CD-USB o CD
PLC Logo! V8 Siemens
Communication Cable Ethernet Cat5e o higher
Software PLC Logo Siemens; Logo Soft Comfort V8.0 or higher
Wiring in 220VAC (We use Logo! 220VAC)

STEP 2: Analyzing TDE DISPLAY

Let's analyze our TDE Display and it's similar to SCADA

Analyze most important technical details:

Power Supply: CPU Power Supply is the choosed in CPU (12-24-110-220 Volts) and TDE Display mainly is powered in 12/24 VDC

Communication: The TDE Display will show the programming in the PLC Logo!, so these are connected by a "Patch Cord RJ45" in communication called Ethernet and remember PLC and TDE have is own "IP" choosed by us, both work in lan (Local Area Network) in IP Public ranges 192.168.x.x

Configuration buttons Display: With these buttons you do the main configurations as choose IP (network), Stop PLC, change color display, etc.

Buttons F1 - F4: You can use these buttons as Digital Inputs (DI) configured fromm Software Logo! Soft Comfort

STEP 3: Programming and Monitoring

Create a Project to Measure Temperature and Monitor our Control System

Let's measure Temperature (°C) by RTD Module and configure an Digital Output "Q1", all monitoring from the TDE Display

IDENTIFY:

CPU PLC Logo! 220VAC (in this case)
Temperature Module RTD AM2-RTD
Switching Power Supply 220VAC / 24 VDC
Thermocouple or PT100 3 wires
Shielded Cable +4xCables 1.0mm2
Pantalla TD/TDE Logo
Patch Cord RJ45

LET'S CREATE THE PROGRAM

Go to Software Logo! Soft Comfort and add to the program the follow blocks:

AI1 Analog Inputs from RTD Module (Channel 1)
SF001 Analog Amplifier to scale AI1 to Temperature Value since PT100
SF002 Thershold Trigger in Digital Output (0-1), too scale AI1 and configure ON-OFF depending the value of T°
T003 Add a Timer TON, this is because be sure the differences when Tempeture up or down, in other case the output may be 0-1-0-1-0-1; is important have a time to start
Q1 Digital Output that activate a Relay, Contactor, etc
SF004 MESSAGE TEXT, Very Important this is the block where we configure our "little scada" in the Logo Display and TDE Display

Configure Analog Amplifier
Configure Threshold Trigger and define the rangues of On - OFF
Configuring the timer seconds (timer on delay)

Begin the moment to configure the TEXT MESSAGE

VERY IMPORTANT UNDERSTAND:

Priority This is the "priority" of how the text messsages are showed in display, for the moment will not use it, it is by default
Contents Block Some blocks we have already configurated in our programs before as Threshold Trigger, Analog Amplifiers and TON Timer
Message Destination We can choose the text message in devices, Only Logo!, Only TDE Display, BOTH and WEB Server; will work with "both", it means same configuration for TDE and Display Logo
Parameters When we select a special function (Analog Input o Timer) the Software give us the option for "Use" his parameters of the blocks
Message Text This is the text configurated to show in display or TDE Display, green are Display Logo! limits, and in red line are TDE Limits
ON-OFF We have the options to choose "Digital Signals" as DI (I), DO (Q), M, etc, and we can monitor all of these from the TDE or Display Logo

STEP 4: Uploading to PLC LOGO!

Remember always if you forget IP of PLC go to => NETWORK => IP ADDRESS, your PC must to be in same Network than PLC (example IP Photo 192.168.0.3), Your PC may has a IP 192.168.0.5

After we have IP of PLC go to Wifi or Internet Icon, click on "Network and Sharing Center" --> Change Adapter Settings --> Ethernet/Realtek/other --> Propierties --> Internet Protocol Version 4 TCP/IPv4 and change IP to same Sub Network PLC with other last number device

If your PLC has been communicated correctly, go to RUN and START your PLC Program!
